Tyler

Founder & Executive Director

Hey there, I’m Tyler — jack of few trades, humble master of none.

As an aspiring youth public speaker, I aim to empower young minds to connect & perform with a spirit of creative service.

Originally, I was born near the coast of central California but was raised in the valley of the sun — N. Phoenix. I graduated from Arizona State, class of ‘19, with degrees in anthropology & communication. More than halfway into my undergraduate studies, aspiring to be a “social scientist”, I experienced a change of heart. I had quickly lost interest in conventional career paths, and I began experiencing a much different vision for myself. I was being called to write, to speak, to art & share — to express everything I wish I had heard more of sooner to those who are where I once was.

Embracing this new creative direction, I decided to build this brand — WørldMood — in order to give my message a face and create a foundation for the outreach.

I play many roles within my community: substitute teacher, coach, and high school sports official with the AIA & CIF. These jobs not only keep me on my toes & in shape, but they also keep me more in touch with my target audience, students.

Coming out of high school, I didn’t have any real direction. I didn’t even have any real esteem, all of it was either bought or borrowed. I developed few good habits, and I struggled to keep my inner balance. While studying to be a social scientist, I would learn more & more about human development & interaction, and I would often rant & rah rah about how undeveloped, unprepared & uninspired high school graduates are when they finish their secondary education… myself being evidence. In a passionate effort to change this trend, I’ve decided to use my voice & freedom to help build a ladder for those seeking a greater balance.

I spend much of my time creating & sharing content that caters to the minds of other lives like mine. Offline, my outreach involves working with schools to organize speaking engagements with students inside their classrooms to talk about mental health, authenticity, and chasing dreams. For more online content, I put together the WørldMood podcast — a micro-pod all about mental health & self-discovery, and a blog titled Hum Function — a short series about the overactive American millennial mind and its efforts to connect with what’s real.

If you’re interested in any of the content or projects, everything is linked within the site headers. I’m always looking for honest feedback!
